Andy and I rode up to meet Mick in Stratford, and then on to the site at Long Marston Airfield. They wouldn't let us in for a while because the wrist straps hadn't turned up, but beers were soon passed up and down the Que. The HA didn't like us reserving a space for the others, but were OK about it once they knew it was going to be filled. As it happens the others turned up just in time, to whit Malc, TC, Kez, Tabby and Tony. Fiona, Justin, Salli and Nicky also turned up a little later during the evening on Friday, And Sash and Jomo went in their vans.
After Jomo's bike was done pulling the crowds, we congregated to the main tent were the strippers were 'performing'. I'm told that the wet T-shirt competition later was better, but sadly passed out before being able to witness or verify this.
Gary Rothwell was there entertaining the crowds, and made a fortune on autographed baseball caps. One of the top fuel cars went into the barriers, another dragster also crashed further up the run, and Kez chickened out of the Bandit 400 challenge!
